In order to qualify for the Alberta Powerlifting Union (APU) Provincial Championships, athletes must achieve the PROVINCIAL QUALIFYING STANDARDS.

Registration Opens: January 21st, 2024

Registration Closes: April 13th, 2024 @ 11:59pm MST **CLOSED**

Please note:

Lifters who do not make weight, are still eligible to compete and achieve medal placement in the weight class they weighed in at.

If a lifter does not make weight, they will be lifting in the session they were originally scheduled. This means that they may not be lifting with the others in the weight class they weighed in at.

Volunteer Schedule is now posted!

Thank you to everyone who stepped up to make this event possible. Volunteers are the backbone of our sport and our meets don't run without everyone stepping in to help. With a multi day event and running dual platforms, we need as many hands as we can get.

Here are a few points to know for your session:

Plan to arrive on time! Please show up for your scheduled session as we are very tight on volunteers. If you know you are not going to be able to volunteer for your session, please let us know ASAP via email (apuprovincials2024@gmail.com) so we can try to find someone to fill your position.

When you arrive please stop at the Registration Table to sign the CPU Waiver, pick-up your Volunteer T-Shirt, and wristband for your session. Note: Platform Crews are sponsored by InnerStrength Products and will receive their shirt at the InnerStrength Products booth.

We will have drinks & snacks near the platforms for those quick 10 minute breaks.

Hot meals will be provided for all volunteers in the volunteer room.

We will be drawing for volunteer prizes at the end of each session, so please stick around when you’re done!
